Affordable Style for Kids at Old Navy

Thank you Old Navy for sponsoring my post today about baby and toddler styles. Old Navy is giving you 30% off everything in their baby and toddler summer collection, plus get an additional 15% off in-store.

Before I had kids, I never really paid attention to a budget while shopping, but I still liked getting a good deal.  I have always been a fan of Old Navy for their cute clothes, and the fact that I could get a lot for my money.  While pregnant, I even shopped there for maternity clothes- they weren't overpriced and they had sizes small enough to fit me.

After I had kids, I became more conscious of staying on a budget and wanting to save for my family.  I love dressing my girls in stylish clothes, but I don't like spending a lot of money when they just grow out of them so fast.  And with three daughters, if I'm not careful where I shop, I could very easily break the bank.

Old Navy quickly became one of my favorite places to shop for my kids' clothes.  They have the cutest styles and amazingly cheap prices!  Almost everytime I would head out to the mall, I would wind up at Old Navy.  I could always depend on them to have great clothes that fit my girls how I wanted them to and to have great prices to match.

So I was super bummed when the Old Navy store in my area closed.  Thankfully though, when I went online I was relieved to see that OldNavy.com has the same great selection and prices, and shipping is always free on orders over $50.  So I can buy for all three of my girls, have it sent right to the house, and still stay within our budget!

There is of course a store in a nearby city where we can go shopping on occasion when we want also.  Whether I shop online or in the store, I always love checking out the sales and clearance items.  They have tshirts starting at just $5 and adorable sundresses from about $10.  That's amazing considering we looked in another big name department store and similar dresses were priced at $20.
Bead-Trim Smocked Sundress $11.86               Printed Jersey Dress $10.94

I love being able to dress my girls in the latest fashion, and I can feel good knowing I didn't spend a lot of cash to do it.  They get to look super cute and I get to feel super smart... it's a win-win!!

Do you shop at Old Navy for your kids?
Do you think their clothes are stylish and affordable?

I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Finding the Perfect Nursery Decor for your Little One

When I first found out I was going to be a mom almost six years ago I was so happy, and I couldn't wait to start buying all the things we would need to welcome our baby home.  And then when we found out we were having a baby girl, I immediately started looking for the perfect decor for the nursery.

I knew right away the look I wanted and the color palette I had in mind... but I had a hard time finding it at any of the local stores.  So then I turned to the internet, and after searching and searching I finally came across BabyBeddingZone.com.

I wish I would've know about them to begin with, they have a ton of adorable baby bedding sets to choose from, and after only a short time browsing their site I found exactly what I was looking for!  It was pretty and girly with a classic look.  The colors were muted tones- sage, cream, and pink... I was in love and I knew I had to have it!
If I had been at a local store or boutique I would've paid a lot more for it but the price at Baby Bedding Zone was completely affordable and included a lot for the price... and shipping for the set was free.

As soon as it arrived I unpacked everything and made the crib where my daughter would sleep.  And when I brought her home from the hospital for the first time and laid her in it I was the happiest mommy alive.  It was exactly how I had envisioned it- a beautiful nursery and a beautiful baby!

I would definitely recommend Baby Bedding Zone to any mom that's trying to find the perfect bedding and decor for their nursery.  They have adorable bedding sets for girls and super cute crib bedding sets for boys too.
Looking through their site, they even have cute whimsical Dr Seuss crib bedding... everything imaginable to find just the right bedding set for your little bundle of joy.

Things I'll miss about baby days...

My husband and I have 3 beautiful girls and feel like we're 99.9% sure that we are done having kids... no more babies for us.  Though we have brought up the 'What if we had one more?' discussion, I don't think either of us feel that we need or want to have another baby.  So these are some of the things I'll always miss as my girls get older:

  • coming up with baby name ideas
  • hearing them cry for the first time
  • chubby cheeks & thighs perfect for squeezing
  • soft, sweet-smelling baby hair & skin
  • open-mouthed kisses
  • baby giggles and squeals
  • tiny feet and hands
  • tiny baby clothes, blankets, and shoes
  • hearing "mommy" (why does it inevitably have to go to just plain ol' "mom"?)
  • cuddling, rocking, and singing lullaby's
  • first wobbly toddles across the floor
  • hearing 'I love you' for the first time
Everyday our girls are growing bigger and learning more things.  With each new milestone they reach or each birthday that passes, it's always bittersweet... there's pride in seeing them accomplish something but sadness that they're no longer babies anymore.

Even after daughter #3 though, I always said that I wasn't going to make anything permanent.  We think we're done having kids, but we're not closing the door on it entirely.  And I do still have a backup baby girl name if there's ever a 4th girl added to our family and of course a baby boy name also... just in case.  ;)

Is your family complete?  How did you know you were done having kids... or are there more in your future?

My Baby Clothes Boutique Review & $25 GC #Giveaway

Do you like dressing your baby in unique, stylish baby clothes?  Or would you love to dress your little one in designer outfits but without the designer price tag?
My Baby Clothes Boutique searches to find the cutest, most comfortable, and highest quality clothes and accessories available.  Our goal is to offer these unique and trendy boutique style clothes at affordable prices.
As a mom of 3 daughters I was in complete heaven when I browsed around at My Baby Clothes Boutique... everything is so stinkin' adorable!  They have beautiful clothes for both boys and girls in sizes newborn, infant, and toddler.  I loved the selection of all their items- clothes, shoes, baby headbands, bibs, blankets, tutus, diaper bags, baby hats... everything you need to make sure your little one is the cutest baby on the block!
After looking over every inch of My Baby Clothes Boutique I finally found the item I absolutely had to have for my youngest daughter.  My oldest two already have their Easter dresses but I still needed one for their little sister.  So when I saw this dress I knew it would be perfect:
The Floral Halter Dress has big peach flowers and a hint of light green leaves with silver sparkle details. There are simple ruffles around the neckline to make this halter dress simply beautiful.  The wonderful peach fabric shows out from underneath the dress and the fabulous bow on the side top this dress off to be the perfect picture to springtime fun!  Sizes 12- 24mos. come with matching floral bloomers.
This dress is absolutely gorgeous!  It's perfect for Easter and Spring, and the design and quality definitely says designer.  On Easter it may still be chilly here in Michigan, so I plan to pair it with a little white sweater to keep her warm (though I hope I don't have to).   Because how cute is the back of this dress!  I can't wait to take pictures of my 3 girls on Easter!
BUY IT:  You can order online at MyBabyClothesBoutique.com... the Floral Halter Dress is only $24.99!

WIN IT:  1 lucky reader is going to win a $25 Gift Certificate to spend at My Baby Clothes Boutique!!

Eco-Friendly Baby Products from EcoMom {Book Review + $20 Gift Code Giveaway}

If you're interested in eco-friendly baby products, EcoMom probably has just about everything you're looking for.  From organic food and bath products to household cleaning products and home decor, they cover all the basics and beyond.  They also have an EcoMom Blog, where you can read great articles on health & wellness, pregnancy & baby, parenting and more, as well as learn more about the faces behind EcoMom.

I've been able to try products from their Plum Organics baby food and Revolution Foods line before and loved it, and so did my kids (you can read my past review here).  In addition to some of their more well known products, they also have an adorable selection of art, books, and toys for children.  One of the books they offer that we have here at our house is 'Storytime: First Tales for Sharing'.

Book Description:
Retold By Stella Blackstone, Illustrated By Anne Wilson
Share a traditional tale and provide a stepping stone into the land of art and story. The seven folk tales in this colorful collection are well known and well loved, and each imparts an important lesson using humor, action, adventure and classic characters.  Ages 3 - 7 years
Hardcover
Jacketed
Full-color illustrations

This book is great for reading at any time of the day but especially right before bed.  Each classic tale is the perfect length for a bedtime story.  My girls love the stories and the artwork is simply beautiful.  You can probably tell from the cover that some of the tales include The Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and The Gingerbread Man (one of my girls favorites).  I think the age recommendation is appropriate as my youngest (16 mos. old) likes to look at the book for a short while but doesn't usually make it through a whole story without squirming and wanting down.  My almost 3 year old and 5 1/2 year old on the other hand enjoy listening to the story, and my 5 year old usually asks me to read another one.

BUY IT: You can order EcoMom products online, be sure to check out their Valentine's Day Sale with up to 25% off select items (good thru 2/14).  If you're a frequent buyer be sure to check out their EcoPass for additional savings.  And don't miss their Deal of the Day starting at 10:30am PT (VIP access at 9am for EcoPass members).

Neem Therape Cleansing Bar for Kids & Babies {Review & Giveaway} Ends 2/18

Mission:  To offer a synergy of organic, therapeutic and cruelty-free herbal products that are great for the whole family, pets and our planet.

Organix-South was founded by Autumn Blum, a cosmetic chemist who has a passion for staying at the leading edge of the natural products industry.  Some of her highlights include:

• Energy Conservation:  Organix-South operates the nation's first solar-powered soap manufacturing facility (with assistance from a NASA program that provides technical support to small businesses).
• Local Organic Agriculture:  A bountiful organic garden at the Florida manufacturing plant helps offset the rising cost of food and supports the employees' connection with the earth and locally produced food.
Innovative Satellite Working Environments:  The company allows many of its employees to work from home, reducing carbon footprints, lessening the nation's dependence on oil and fueling a better quality of life with more family time.

Organix South created TheraNeem and ThereVeda.  Check out the box below for what exactly Neem is, even today natives in rural India refer to the Neem tree as their "Village Pharmacy".
I was sent the Neem Therape Cleansing Bar for Kids and Babies to review.  I thought the soap smelled very good, strong, but good- an orange-y scent.  My oldest daughter (5 year old) also liked the smell but my 2 1/2 year old, who is very sensitive to smells, didn't care for it.  This soap will get your kid 'squeaky' clean, literally... but without over-drying, it won't strip the skin's natural oils.  I do prefer body wash over bar soap just because of the convenience, so I think I'd also like the TheraNeem Kids Shampoo and Bodywash.
For Sensitive Kids
Packed with antioxidants, Neem protects, nourishes and moisturizes even the most sensitive skin.  It contains over 90% organic ingredients like Olive oil, Coconut oil, Palm oil (both COG and Rainforest Alliance certified), Shea Butter, Jojoba Seed oil and Neem Oil.  This bar is ideal for face & body; gently calming and cleansing for sensitive kids and babies. Hand-crafted with only the finest quality organic oils.

And it's made with Solar-Power! Organix-South new solar-powered curing facility uses a more efficient drying system for hand-crafted organic soap bars.

Paraben Free • Sulfate Free • Gluten Free | *Made with Certified Organic Ingredients

BUY IT:  You can buy Organix-South products online, including the Cleansing Bar which is 25% off, and from these retail stores.  Check out their online catalog for all their other products and additional uses for Neem.

WIN IT:  1 lucky reader is going to win their own NeemTherape Cleansing Bar for Kids and Babies

The Mommy Brand- Stylish, Handmade Baby Items {Review}

The Mommy Brand, and its blog "A Young Mom's Guide to Motherhood, Money & Marriage", was founded by Jenny.  The idea for The Mommy Brand came when Jenny was in her last semester of school, thinking about what her career had in store for her after graduation.  The thought of going to work and being away from her son all day was simply heartbreaking (as the decision is for a lot of moms)!  So she created The Mommy Brand, an online store for baby items, all handmade by stay-at-home moms, as her way to help keep her family afloat as her husband began medical school.  You can also meet all the other "creators" behind the products at The Mommy Brand website.

The Mommy Brand has adorable handmade items for both boys and girls including onesies, diaper bags, hooded towels, tutus, hair bows (over 80 different ones in the collection) and more.  I received the medium size Phoebe Bow for my girls and absolutely LOVE it.  I have 3 girls and it actually works for all of them, even my youngest (14 mos. old) who still has really fine hair.
I was worried because the hair bow didn't have the no-slip on the clip but it held just as good as any other bow I've used in my girls hair, if not better.  Ordering on the site is super easy and Jenny is really quick at getting back with you if you have any questions.  I was unsure on the size of the hair bows and Jen let me know the medium size is about 2.5" inches across.  All the bows and flowers have lead-free metal double-pronged alligator clips (no teeth) and are lined with ribbed gross-grain ribbon.

The Mommy Brand has fabulous handmade items for holiday, birthdays, baby showers... any time of the year!  You can keep your baby looking sweet and you'll look like a stylish got-it-together mom.

You can connect with The Mommy Brand on Facebook and Twitter for all the latest products as well as deals and sales.  And be sure to subscribe to her blog, where she offers giveaways, financial advice especially for young families, baby shower ideas and recipes, product reviews, and advice for young moms.

BabyBond Nursing Cover-Up: Covers Mom, NOT Baby {Review & 75% Off Discount Special}

BabyBond is a nursing accessory that allows you to nurse your baby discreetly, but it covers mommy, not baby.  So you have better bonding with eye contact and interaction between mommy and baby.  I always hated having to cover my baby's head when I nursed out in public back when I first started nursing.  And I rarely did, but those times where I tried to cover up, my poor baby wound up sweating and I can't imagine it was a very pleasant dining experience.  But there weren't many options- either put a blanket over your baby's head or use a nursing cover-up that did the same thing but was lighter material.

With my 2nd and 3rd babies I invested in some nursing tops, but couldn't afford many as they can be pricey.  So of course there were times when I still found myself without a nursing top to wear and had to resort to the blanket over my baby's head.  BabyBond eliminates the need for multiple nursing tops and the traditional nursing covers- you just wear your own shirt and put this on over, or under as a tummy wrap
I'm not nursing anymore now, so when I received the BabyBond Couture (also available in Original and Flex, with burp cloths), I gave it to my sister who's currently nursing her 9 month old.  She's never really used a nursing cover before so was pretty new to the whole idea.  She really likes the option of wearing it like a sash to cover up on top or around the tummy when in a shirt that lifts up to nurse.  I don't know any mom who likes having their tummy and/or back exposed when trying to nurse their baby, you get cold and usually self-conscience of your post-baby body.  The BabyBond material is super soft and it looks great on, not like those large cover-ups that go over your baby and sometimes actually draw more attention to the fact that you're nursing.

Right now BabyBond is offering a 75% discount on their site for any reader who orders a BabyBond on Babies R Us.  All you need to do is email a copy of your receipt from Babies R Us to missy@babybondnursing.com and she'll reply with the discount code to order another BabyBond on their site for 75% Off.   So you'll get 2 BabyBonds for less then $46- you can keep one and give one away as a gift!

You can also stay up to date and connect with BabyBond on Facebook and Twitter.

Stay With Me Socks- Wiggle and Pull Off Proof {Review + Holiday Sale}

I don't know any baby that doesn't like taking their socks off.  Parent's put them... and babies pull them off!  My girls all did it when they were little- my youngest is 14 months old and still does it frequently.  So I'm constantly on the lookout for something that will help her keep her socks on, especially in these oh-so-cold winter months.
I came across Stay With Me Socks and thought the concept was pretty unique.  They're socks for newborns up to 14 months with an adjustable velcro tab.  They're wiggle and pull off proof, staying on until you, the parent, want to take them off.  They velcro in the front or the back adjusting for smaller or larger ankles, so they fit your baby's growing feet.  They have a non-skid bottom for babies that are cruising and walking.  And they loop together so no more getting lost in the wash!
My daughter was right at the cut-off age so I didn't know if they would work for her or not.... they didn't!  She was smart enough to know how to undo the velcro tab and then pull the socks off.  So I gave them to my sister for her 9 month old daughter.  They worked very well for her, her baby tugged and tugged and couldn't get them off... it was kind of funny to watch.  The socks are really good quality too- well made.
The only issue we had was that I have all carpeting in my livingroom/playroom and the velcro would get snagged on it and come undone on its own.  I think these would be great on a harder surface floor- wood or tile.  Or maybe if the velcro was slightly longer, so when you adjust it to fit smaller there's not an overlap of velcro sticking out.  All in all, I think these are perfect for small babies (pre-crawlers), and if you don't have all carpet in your house it would work well for older babies up to 14 months.
Stay With Me Socks come in white, pinks, blues, and greens and would make a great 'stocking stuffer' gift for your own baby or someone you know with a little one.  And right now, Stay With Me Socks is having a Holiday Special... so it's the perfect time to buy some gifts.

You can also stay connected with Stay With Me Socks on Twitter

Original Sprout- Worry-Free luxury for your family! {Review, Black Friday Special, & Discount Code}

As a mommy of 3 kids, I've tried a lot of baby products.  Some were good and some were... well not so good!  Which is money down the drain, quite literally sometimes, and I hate wasting money.  I also worry about whether what I'm putting on my kids' skin and hair could possibly be harming them... is it really safe.  Well here's a company that addresses the concerns of parents that are looking for products with safe ingredients for their family.
FB logo
Original Sprout is a line of natural, high-performance hair and skin care products.  It's a family-run company located in San Luis Obispo, CA that was founded by master stylist Inga Tritt.  She began the company in 2003 after the birth of her daughter.  Because Original Sprout's products were created by a master stylist and mother, they bridge the gap between safe ingredients and salon performance perfectly.

I love that Original Sprout is made in the USA and has completely safe ingredients.  It's 100% Vegan and is free of ingredients that are associated with estrogen enhancement, hormone disruption, cancer and autism such as Phytoestrogens, Soy, Parabens, Gluten, Dixoanes from Sulfates, Phthalates & Formaldehyde.  Amazingly those ingredients are still found in many baby products.

scrum

I first tried the Scrumptious Baby Cream and let me tell you, 'scrumptious' is definitely the right word to describe it.  It was soft and creamy- it went on effortlessly and soaked in quickly.  And it smelled heavenly, way better than any other 'baby smelling' product I've ever used!  Even my husband was impressed with this stuff and asked where we could buy more.  Trust me, after using the Scrumptious Baby Cream you'll be hooked!

miracle-detangler-4

The Miracle Detangler also lived up to its name.  I don't have too much of a need for it yet, as my girls all have pretty fine hair- even my curly haired daughter still has fine hair.  I think as they get older and their hair gets thicker I'll be using this more.  I did use it on my 5 yr. old though who has poker straight hair but gets knots in it every once in awhile.  It worked like a charm after bath time, her hair was silky soft and no tangles!  You can actually use it on wet or straight hair and it smells great too.

It's easy to see why Original Sprout is out-selling other brands in boutiques, salons, and health food stores and has it's own celebrity following also.  You can buy Original Sprout online and from these retailers.

Right now Original Sprout has their Black Friday Special going on (11/23- 11/28) where you get a FREE 4oz. Scrumptious Baby Cream with any purchase over $24.99... but that's not all... you can also get 10% OFF your first online order using code FIRST_ORDER_10-U.
4-oz-Holiday set

And get this great Holiday Trio for only $9.99!  The perfect starter set for yourself or to give as a gift to a friend (they'll definitely thank you).

Connect with Original Sprout on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date on all the latest deals

Keep your kiddos warm with BabyLegs! {Review & Giveaway} Ends 11/22

We're coming up on the Winter season... the cold and wind and ice, brrr!  It's time to start bundling up, layering, and staying covered to keep warm.  BabyLegs is a company that makes this very easy to do for our babies and kids.  Read their story below:

"In April of 2005, a young mom was confronted with a diaper rash that just wouldn't quit. The rash needed some fresh air to heal, but she was also concerned about keeping her daughter warm. In a moment of inspiration, she snipped the feet off of a pair of socks and fitted her daughter from hip to ankle with a cool set of leg warmers. These leg warmers not only kept her daughter warm, but also protected her from the elements, made diaper changing and potty training easier, and protected her soft knees while crawling."
BabyLegs has girls tights, and leg warmers and socks for both boys and girls.  Of course BabyLegs isn't just for the cold weather, they can be used all year round but for me they came at just the right time.  With Fall in full effect and Winter on it's way, I have been looking for products to help keep my 1 year old's legs and feet warm.
I received their Carnival Knee-High Baby Socks along with a pair of footless tights and 2 sets of leg warmers.  The Leg Warmers can be worn by all 3 of my girls, ages 1- 5 years old.  The tights and baby socks were specifically for my 1 year old toddler.  She doesn't like to keep her socks on and I love that with the knee-high socks they tend to stay on a LOT longer.  And the leg warmers and tights can be layered under dresses and even pants to prevent cold air from hitting her sweet baby legs.

My husband has nicknamed these 'CrazyLegs'- he loves how cute our girls look in them and likes the super fun, bold designs.  Check out the Awards BabyLegs has won, and if you're ready to order these adorable products for your child now, use Promo Code SUSIEB20 for a 20% discount off your entire order (code good thru Dec. 8th so act fast)!

Keep diaper rash at bay the Bummas way!"

If you have a tiny baby bum in your home, you need to check out these cloth wipes from Bummas.  Bummas Wipes are the perfect size to carry with you when on the go- in the diaper bag or even your purse, they're just 5" x 7", and are great for a multitude of uses.

First as in their slogan above, you use it to dry your baby's bottom off after you use a wet baby wipe and before you put on the new diaper.  This eliminates the need to try to blow or wave your hand around trying to dry the area (you know you've done it before).  Those methods of drying all just make our babies cold, but using Bumma's is soft, warm, and fast for drying their little bottom's.

It's also great if you have a bouncing baby boy to help 'avert the squirt' (you mom's of boy's know all about this), just place over his 'squirter' while wiping the rest of the bum and then put the new diaper on.  You can also wet it and use it as a cloth baby wipe for those sensitive bottoms.  And the best part... then you just throw it in the wash to use again and again!

I received the newest Bummas- the Tropical Ones, and as I found out they're not just great for little bums, they're also great for wiping baby's face and for bathtime.  I was out of my usual baby washcloths (I was slightly behind in the laundry department), and wasn't sure what I was going to use when I remembered about the Bummas... perfect!  It was big enough to do the job, super soft, and the bright fun color was fun for my daughter to look at (and try to grab from me).
I love having these in my mommy arsenal, you get 10 in a pack so there's enough to spread around- a few on the changing table, a couple in the bathroom, and of course some in the diaper bag... never far from reach.  I also love that they're made from 100% Cotton- Woven Velour Terry Cloth and that they're Made in the USA!

You can buy Bummas online or at these retailers.

One lucky reader is going to get their own set of Bumma's Tropical Ones- you can keep them for yourself or use for an awesome baby shower gift.
