If you have kids, you probably have a TON of books around your house.  And really, you can never have too many... kids are like little sponges and soak up every word.  The Five Little Bunnies Read & Sing Along board book with CD is a super cute addition to your little ones library.

Product Details:

·         The simple rhymes and delightful illustrations in this board book teach young children numbers 1 to 5. The Music CD includes the recorded story plus 19 new and classic children’s songs.  Ages 3+

·         CD Details:

o    Run Time 32:20
o    20 Songs (Five Little Bunnies Read Along + 19 Additional Songs)
o MSRP $9.99
My youngest two girls really enjoyed looking at the book together.  It's recommended for ages 3+ but I'd say children from 18 months up to about age 5 or 6 would be the ideal age.  The book has simple rhymes and minimal words on each page which is good for young kids with short attention spans.  The illustrations are cute and 'cuddly' (because it's pictures of bunnies, not because it's actually soft).  It's also a great way to introduce counting to your child.

Counting the bunnies- 1, 2...
The CD that comes with it is a nice compliment to the book.  It stores conveniently right in a pouch in the front of the book.  My girls liked dancing around to the music though the read-along seemed to have quite a long pause in between a couple of the pages.  The CD includes songs like 'If You're Happy and You Know It' and 'Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes'... plus songs we had never heard of but that my girls enjoyed.  The CD would also be perfect to take along in the car for family trips to the store or the grandparent's... kid friendly tunes instead of what's played on the radio.

BUY IT:  You can purchase the Five Little Bunnies board book w/ CD online for 30% off (Only $6.99)... This would make an awesome Easter basket gift!

WIN IT: 1 lucky reader is going to win their own copy of Five Little Bunnies w/ CD

Blogging Mom's Challenge Day 16- Cry Baby

Day 16 — A song that makes you cry

Wow, this one was hard, I have so many songs that really move me, not always to tears, but they bring back tons of memories and emotions for me... the lyrics are meaningful and tell a powerful story.  Here are a few of my fave power ballads and sad/sappy songs from back in the day (try not to cry):

Crossroads by Bone Thugs n Harmony
Photograph by Nickelback
One Last Breath by Creed
Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley
Leaving on a Jet Plane by John Denver
Every Rose Has It's Thorn by Poison
Have a Little Faith in Me by John Hiatt
This is War by Smile Empty Soul
Don't Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith
Home by Chris Daughtry

I'm kind of all over the place with this one, but after I listed all those and listened to them again on YouTube, I realized none of them actually brought me to tears.  Sure they have a lot of meaning and take me back to a different place and time, but they didn't give me that tear-up kind of feeling.  So I thought some more, and remembered these two songs... they got me the first time I heard them, and back when I was in Army Basic Training, and when my hubby deployed to Iraq... and they still get to me when I hear them now... gives me the chills... and makes me so proud...

The Top 30 Preschool Songs iTunes CD {Review & Giveaway} Ends 9/25

CLOSED!!

The Top 30 Preschool Songs is a fabulous addition for anyone with kids.  This CD download features 30 of your child's all-time favorite songs- including ones like Head and Shoulders, The Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and The Ants Go Marching.

This CD was super fun to listen and dance to with my girls.  Some of our faves, in addition to the ones listed above, are If You're Happy and You Know It and Ring Around the Rosie.  All my girls (ages 1- 5) had a blast dancing to these tunes and they were great to have on the iPhone to listen to in the van.

Most of the songs were ones I'd heard before but some were actually new for me.  And it's always good to know a lot of different songs with little ones in the house.  My oldest daughter, who went to Young 4's last year, knew a lot of them already but noticed that some of them were different than the way she learned it (like The Days of the Week song).

This CD is definitely worth having on the computer for dancing at home and on the iPhone or iPod to hook up in the vehicle for drives!
The songs can be purchased on iTunes individually for .99¢ each or the whole CD (all 30 songs) for only $5.99.

Kiboomu has offered 1 of my lucky readers the chance to win the whole CD download...
