Blogging Mom's Challenge Day 26- 30

Wow, did I get behind!  But this is the end of the challenge:

Day 26 — A childhood memory
Dancing with my mom when I was a little girl to the song Put a Little Love in Your Heart by Jackie Deshannon.

Day 27 — A physical feature you love
Ugh, there's not much I love about my body right now, so probably my big brown eyes (love that song Brown-Eyed Girl).  My husband of course would list another attribute of mine.  ;)

Day 28 — A scar you have and its story, or if no scars- a tattoo & story
I don't have any scars (knock on wood) but have 1 tattoo.  It's a sun on my lower abdomen- I was a "sun worship-er" back in the day and got it while I was in High School (without my parent's knowing).  What's weird is that it looks sorta similar to the Sun of May on the Argentina Flag and my husband, who I hadn't met yet, is part Argentinian.  I found this picture online that comes close to what mine looks like.

Day 29 — Hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days
I'm hoping we'll be able to pay off most of our debt, then start putting money away for the girl's college funds.  I'd also love to be able to remodel our kitchen sometime next year... it so needs it (there's apple wallpaper and the cabinets are falling apart)! 

Day 30 — A motto or philosophy
Realistically, my motto is probably 'be realistic'- but I'd love to live as freely as this:

Work like you don't need the money,
Dance like no one is watching,
Sing like no one is listening,
love like you've never been hurt...
and live life every day as if it were your last!

Um, family- yes... person I don't know- look away!

2. What are you passionate about?
My family, and lately... blogging!  :)  I'm also slowly getting my passion back for running like I had back in my school days.

3. How long have you been blogging?
Just 3 short months (started in March 2010).  I would definitely still consider myself a newbie blogger!  :p

4. What is your favorite "summer" drink?
Well lately I have been hooked on McCafe Caramel Frappe's... sooo good!!

5. What is your favorite type of music?
I really do love a little bit of several types of music- pop, rock, alternative, hip hop, oldies... it's too hard to pick just one, but probably lately it's been pop music.

6. Something I do before I go to bed is......?
Hmm, I usually try to check my email one more time, and all the doorlocks (I'm a bit OCD when it comes to making sure the doors are all locked)... then of course I do all the usual bathroom stuff before bed.  :D

7. My Summer vacation plans are...?
Just a short trip a couple hours away up north and then probably camping in the backyard.

8. My favorite must have, can't live without, beauty product is?
My eyelash curler- my lashes are pathetic looking without curling them- and then a good coat of mascara!

1. The most expensive thing hanging in my closet is.....?
I don't spend a lot on clothes, so probably the most expensive item is around $35, a black dress shirt.

2. Have you ever played a team sport?
Yes, in High School I played volleyball and ran track & cross country.

3. If you were a bug, what kind would you be?
Interesting question, I don't like bugs but I guess if I was one I'd be a butterfly (if I could skip the whole caterpillar part) or ladybug.  I'd have to be a bug that could fly so people wouldn't step on me.

4. Where on your body is the worst place to get sunburned? (thanks Ian)
Uh, anywhere!  But I especially hate getting burned on my back or chest since then wearing shirts is unbearable.

5. Are you happy?
In most things, Yes! But there are times when I could have a more positive outlook on life.

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them?
None that I can think of at the moment, so I guess it doesn't really bother me that much.  Though I think LOL is a tad over-used.

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?
No, I do not love where I live- this includes the house, neighborhood, and even the state.  I'd love if we lived back down south in Georgia or either of the Carolina's.

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?
Thankfully, I've never had any issues with weight or overeating so this isn't a concern.

1. What has been your most memorable Mother's Day? (with your mom, as a mom, or with your wife)

Hmm, probably last year, because since I've had kids my memory sucks!  My hubby got a card that he helped the girls sign & he got me a beautiful flower- a Dahlia.  Seeing my girls names on the card made me tear up.

2. Have you ever been pulled over for speeding and were you able to talk your way out of it?
YES, though I wouldn't say 'talk' so much as CRIED!  Lol  My hubby hates that I was able to do that... he thinks it's so unfair.  He should be thankful though that I didn't get a ticket we had to pay.  :p

3. What's the oldest thing you have hanging in your closet?
I think it's my Old Navy fleece vest- at least 5 yrs. old.

4. Do you whiten your teeth?
Not currently, I've used whitening trays before and we use whitening toothpaste sometimes, but not regularly.  I think when I want them whitened I'll just head to the dentist though.

5. Underwear or Panties..What do you call your "unmentionables"?
Uh a thong... or just underwear.

6. If you could go on vacation right now..today..where would you go?
Ugh, read my post on that here... definitely a warm, white sandy beach somewhere- the Carribean perhaps!

7. Do you get offended when people cuss on their blogs?
Nope, I don't (or haven't yet) cursed on my blog, but I do sometimes in real life so it doesn't bother me to read it.

8. If you had to give up one luxury item, it would be....?
Hmm, I guess the tv cable.  I could NOT give up my internet (duh) but the tv, eh sure.  I'd hate missing House & Smallville, but I'd live... oh wait, I could just watch them online anyway, lol.  Ok, well if I had to pick something else I guess I'd say my hair straightener (is that a luxury item?).  I barely have time to use it anymore anyway.

Hairless, but a little bit is ok.

2. How often do you run red lights?

Never, if I can help it.

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid?

I really love Jennifer Aniston, and since I think we're similar builds, I'd definitely love to go through her closet.

4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog?

Well since I don't Twitter, and rarely Facebook, definitely my Blog.

5. What makes you feel sexy?

When my hair is done & makeup's on (at least mascara)... I can be in grungy clothes but if my face looks good I can still feel sexy.

6. I get excited when...........?

Hmm, when my girls are having fun; when I get something new (ie. shirt, shoes, purse); when hubby and get some 'alone time'.  ;)

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"?

Uh yeah, mostly indoorsy for sure, but I love going to the park with my girls, beach, bbq's etc.  Just not outdoorsy as in 'getting close to nature'.
8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars?

A million dollars, without question.  I could buy my dream house and so much more...
